The 2.1 Portable Saitek Speaker System PDF Print E-mail

There are many people who have large music libraries on their pc’s, laptop or portable media players. Using a portable speaker system allows you to easily play high quality audio from these devices so that you can now enjoy your music wherever you are.

 

The 2.1 portable saitek speaker system delivers true 2.1 stereo sound through two 3W tweeters and 3W sub-woofer. The unique Expanded Air Volume System (EAVS) expands when in use to provide impressive bass range and clarity. To increase efficiency and reduce magnetic interference the saitek speaker system incorporates Neodymium speaker magnets. All types of portable media players (MP3, CD, DVD MPEG4, Sony PSP, iPod, etc.) and laptops and be connected via the 3.5mm jack audio cable that is supplied.

 

To power the 2.1 portable saitek speaker system there is a supplied AC adapter, or otherwise 4 AAA batteries can be used. The battery compartment is located on the back of the unit and there is an LED indicator on the top of the unit which shows the condition of the batteries. If the LED indicator is Green the batteries are ok. When the LED is showing Amber the batteries are approximately quarter full, and when it turns to Red or not lit up at all, then it is time to replace the batteries. In normal use the batteries should last for up to 24hrs play. It is ok to use rechargeable batteries in the speaker system but these must be removed when recharging them. If you are near to a power socket then the use of the AC adapter is preferable. The power socket on the speaker system is located on the rear right-hand side of the unit. Using the AC adapter means that the speaker system can be operated at its maximum volume, this cannot be done when using batteries. The 2.1 portable saitek speaker system also has a handy feature that enables it to remember the last volume setting. However this only works when the batteries are inserted and they haven’t expired.

 

Connecting your music device to the 2.1 portable saitek speaker system is very straightforward, using the supplied 3.5mm audio connection cable. Locate the 3.5mm audio socket on your pc, laptop, CD player, ipod or mp3, etc., and insert one end of the connection cable into it. Next, locate the 3.5mm audio socket on the rear, right-hand side of the saitek speaker system, and insert the other end of the connection cable.

 

The saitek portable speaker system includes an EAVS woofer enclosure. This enclosure needs to be open for the saitek speaker system to operate. The enclosure is located on the top of the speaker system and pressing down on it will release it, which will also turn the speaker system on. When the speaker system is no longer being used, press down the EAVS woofer enclosure which will turn the speaker system off.

 

When in use, the controls are very simple. Pressing the + or – buttons will increase or decrease the volume respectively. If you cannot hear any music coming from your saitek speakers check the following points:

  • The saitek portable speaker system is turned on (woofer enclosure open).
  • The music device is playing the music.
  • The saitek speaker volume is not set to 0 (press the + button).
  • The volume of the music playing device is not set to 0.
  • The connection cable is properly connected at both ends.
  • The batteries are not run out.
